It's been a busy start to the year for Paul after a very successful Hogmanay show at the Aberdeen Music Hall. There was about 1000 people at the show and the feedback has been excellent. Special thanks to all of the guest artists on the night - Compere Robert Lovie, Singer Shona Donaldson, Pianist Derrick Barron, the Bucksburn Juvenille Pipe Band, Graeme Mitchell and his Scottish Country Dance Band and Steve Robertson of the legendary "Scotland the What?"
Paul had and especially busy January with Burns Suppers in Dublin, Chester, Huntly, Peterhead and a couple in Brussels (one at the British Ambassadors residence and the other at Scotland House for the Scottish Government).
Paul has been filming a series of features for the BBC Scotland show "Landward" during February. The features will look at four of Scotland's best known tunes and songs and their links to specific places in the landscape. The four pieces features will be "Macpherson's Rant", "MacCrimmon's Lament", "Thomas the Rhymer" and "Mill o' Tifty's Annie". The first feature will run on Friday the 18th of March.
