Paul was one of the judges at this years Glenfiddich Scottish Fiddle Championship which as usual was held in the magnificent setting of Blair Castle in Perthshire. James Alexander from Fochabers and Maurice Duncan from Oban were the other adjudicators. The unanamous winner was Nicola Auchnie from Auchterless near Turriff with Maggie Adamson from Shetland 2nd and Graeme Mackenzie from Inverness 3rd. It's third time lucky for Nicola who has been runner up for the last couple of years. Nicola is the second of Paul's pupil's to be crowned as champion with Raemond Jappy winning the title in 2008.
