October

It's been a busy October which started with a short tour of folk clubs in England. Starting with a date at the Swindon folk club in Wiltshire, Paul and his talented wife Shona then went on to guest in London before finishing at "Tiger Folk" in Longeaton. A great tour to some new territory.
The North-East of Scotland's "Doric Festival" was in full swing during October and Paul was involved with "The Ballad Bus" which travelled round the Strathbogie area. The ballad's and fiddle tunes of the area were sung and played in situation and the trip was a great success. Paul's wife Shona who organised the event as part of her residenc,y featured in the Glasgow Herald after the successful event. Paul also ran a day of fiddle workshops in Tarland as part of the festival. A great day of fiddle music in the Aberdeen Arms.
Paul performed at the fund raising event at the Thainstone centre near Inverurie on the 23rd. The event raises thousands of punds for North-East Scottish charities and it was attended by over 400 guests.
