A long and overdue update...

Due to some techincal problems we haven't been able to update the website for quite some time.  These problems have now been sorted but there is quite a considerable update to do!!
 

A busy time of late!

Paul has been very busy of late with numerous concerts, cd releases, lectures, workshops and books!

News!

Paul and Shona appeared live on The Arts Show on RTE 1 on 20nd April prior to three concerts in Dublin.

North Atlantic Fiddle Conference

The 3rd bi-annual North Atlantic Fiddle Conference will be taking place this year in St John's, Newfoundland, Canada from the 3rd of August, and as well as performing and giving Scots fiddle master classes Paul will be giving an academic paper on the fiddle tradition of the North-East of Scotland.

Sunset Song

Paul will be the musical director for a new stage production of Lewis Grassic Gibbon's classic book "Sunset Song". It will run for almost seven weeks and will take in HM Theatre Aberdeen, the King's Theatre in Glasgow, the King's Theatre in Edinburgh, Eden Court in Inverness, with the run finishing Perth Theatre. It starts on September the 5th in Aberdeen and will finish in Perth on October the 18th. Paul will be composing the music especially for the production,  which is directed by Kenny Ireland.

Television appearances

Paul has been featuring on Scottish television a lot of late with an interview with Phil Cunningham on his acclaimed BBC series "Scotland's Music", as well as three spots on STV's "Ceol na Fidhle."

Celtic Connections 2008

Paul and Shona will be performing on the last night of Celtic Connections in 2008. Their concert at St Andrews in the Square on the 3rd of February 2008 will be on the music and song of the North-East of Scotland.

New works available soon

As well as Paul's new album nearing completion he has also started filming material for a tutorial DVD and his next collection of compositions, "The Lochnagar Collection" is currently being type set. Release for all three is being planned for  Spring 2009.
